Saint Petersburg of Peter the Great

DAY 1

Arrival to St.Petersburg. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel*.

The sightseeing tour "Saint - Petersburg the Epoch of Peter the Great"- visit of Peter and Paul Fortress - Peter and Paul Cathedral and a walk along the Peter and Paul Fortress, Visit of the Summer Garden - the oldest garden of Saint Petersburg, founded in 1704, and Summer Place of Peter the Great - one of the first palaces of our city. During this tour we will also see the buildings which were constructed at the times of Peter the Great. Duration - 5 hours

(We may also suggest a diner in the Austeria Restaurant - in the atmosphere of the times o Peter the Great, this restaurant is situated in the Peter and Paul Fortress - Ioanovsky Ravelin.) Including the dinner - duration - 6 hours.

DAY 2

Suburb excursion to Petergof (duration - 5 hours). Peterhof (Petrodvorets) - the combined ensemble of Russian Tsar Summer Residence, which main attraction - fountains -play a very large part in explaining Petrodvorets' impressive charm. The Grand Cascade & Water Avenue is a symphony of fountains and canals partly engineered by the tsar Peter I himself. Visit of one of the small places- Marly or Monplaisir - typical examples of the architecture of Peter's times.

(We may suggest to dine in the Russia Village Shuvalovka Restaurant- here you may have a typical russian dinner which was so loved by Peter the Great).

DAY 3

Excursion to the State Hermitage Museum - The exhibition The Winter Palace of Peter the Great-represents a unique architectural monument and a memorial ensemble of the early 18th century. The fragments of the original winter residence of the Russian Emperor were discovered in the course of research carried out by architects in the Hermitage Theatre between 1976 and 1989. The palace facing the Neva River was built to the design of Georg Mattarnovi in several stages from 1719 to 1723. Peter the Great spent his last years in this palace and died here in 1725. This excursion is combined with the "Get acquainted tour" of The State Hermitage Museum.
(We may suggest a dinner in the restaurant "Restaurant" - delicious dishes of Russian cuisine will be offered to your choice. You may also try here a famous Russian home-brew.) Duration - 4 hours. Duration within the dinner - 5 hours.
Transfer to the airport. Departure from St.Petersburg.
